The aim of DYSCERNE NW is to investigate the possibility of using the Case Manager (Dysmorphology Diagnostic System or DDS) software, developed as part of the European DYSCERNE project, for NHS patients within the North West region of the UK who have very rare undiagnosed dysmorphic syndromes.

We're currently running a short feasability study, the results of which will allow us to plan a larger pilot of the Case Manager software within the North West of the UK.

Submitting Centres

As this is a feasability study only a small number of pre-agreed Submitting Centres will be involved. You can find a list of the Submitting Centres currently involved here.

Manchester Dysmorphology Panel

Cases submitted to the DYSCERNE NW Case Manager will be reviewed by the Manchester Dysmorphology Panel (MDP).

The members of the MDP are Consultant Clinical Geneticists from the North West Regional Genetics Service based at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester UK. You can find a list of the Manchester Dysmorphology Panel members here.

Important Note:
We are sorry but DYSCERNE NW is unable to provide advice to, or accept referrals directly from patients or their families. Instead, please contact your local family doctor or Genetics Service.
